The owner was a friend of mine and told me we would just be paying the mortgage and insurance, “renters insurance” as well that doesn’t cover our things. Well, I recently found out that we are paying her an extra $ 300 a month after we were told every dime was going to mortgage and insurance, so basically, we buy her gas and food every month. Well, we have been approved for a mortgage now, but I refuse to buy this house. The owner also did NOT tell us when we moved in that a huge piece of the wood siding at the very top was missing, and that they did not plan on fixing it. We have found a new house that is twice as big and actually being built right now so we can build to suit. I want to do this one, but we are still under contract for 6 more months. How do I break this without winding up in court?

Best answer:

Answer by Ralfcoder
I’m no lawyer, I’m only going by what I remember from a college course in business law. If you want real legal advice, you should be talking to a lawyer, not a mob of people with access to the web and a few minutes of spare time.

Read your contract. It spells out the terms of the agreement. If the terms aren’t illegal and they don’t impose an undue hardship, a court will probably order you to abide by the terms specified there.

But since you don’t tell us where you are, nobody can tell you much more than that, since nobody know what jurisdiction – and so what laws – apply. You need to go find a lawyer who specializes in real estate, and show him/her your contract.

And you need to check with the friend to see if there are other expenses you don’t know about. Taxes, assessments, other liens you don’t know about, all come to mind.

Add your own answer in the comments!

SSID Lawyer – Applying for Social Security Disability Oregon – Supplemental Benefits – OR

Insurance Videos

applying

Benefits

Disability

Lawyer

Oregon

Security

Social

SSID

Supplemental

Call 1-800-667-5734 or visit www.SocialSecurityDisability.com; its an easy way to have your supplemental security income claim reviewed by a social security lawyer. Not physically or sexually, but emotionally. My ex-bf was always insulting me and always telling me how stupid/ugly I am, and it really took its toll on me. I moved in with him after only knowing him for only a month, which was stupid. I’ll admit that. But I was 21 at the time, and I wanted to find a husband. So sue me. It ended up being the worst 5 months of my life. About 4 months into the relationship, I was hospitalized with really bad food poisoning. I was found unconscious and had kidney failure. I had no health insurance at the time. This was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me in my life (I really thought I was going to die), and he and his parents couldn’t have been worse during the whole thing. First, they accused me of having AIDS. Then, they accused me of attempting suicide. Then, they determined it was all my fault I got sick because I didn’t keep my cat’s litter box clean. (It was actually bad sushi.) They thought it was hilarious that I had no health insurance, and were making jokes about how my parents were going to have to sell their house to pay my medical bills. When my mom came to visit, they were all really nasty to her. My relationship with my mom is far from perfect, but she’s still my mom. My ex-bf’s mom called me “white trash with no health insurance”, and my mom said she had never felt so ashamed in her life. It really hurt. When I was discharged from the hospital, my ex-bf drove me home, and the first thing he said to me when I got in the car was “Now do you believe us when we say you need health insurance?” He then made multiple jokes about my illness (as I had deficated on the floor the morning they found me unconscious), and worst of all, I remember him saying “Is having a cat too much responsible for you?” Yes, putting cat food in a bowl and giving a cat water every other day is so much responsible for someone as stupid and good-for-nothing as me. To make a long story short, my parents agreed to help me move away from him, but it took a month to get a new apartment. He stopped talking to me, so I spent the next month just sitting in his basement staring at the walls all day. I didn’t even watch tv or go online — I was that depressed. A few days before I went home, I made my away message on AOL Instant Messenger “So glad the worst 5 months of my life are almost over.” An obvious dig at him. And he actually responded, even though he wasn’t talking to me … “That’s interesting. What about the last 5 months have been so bad for you?” I didn’t wanna directly insult him (especially since I was still living in his house), so I said “not having a job. i’ve been depressed.” He typed back “You’ve had jobs. You quit and got fired. You’re a LOSER.” He then typed “I smell cat. Clean the litter box.” I had just cleaned it the day before. He was a miserable person. Later that day, he asked me if the past 5 months had been so bad b/c of him, and even though they definitely had been, I said “No.” And that was the end of that. The day before I went home, he invited me out to dinner with him. I said no, saying I had already eat (even though I hadn’t), but told him to have a good night. I didn’t say goodbye on the day I went home. After moving back home, I changed my phone number and blocked him from facebook. He also does not know my new address. Several weeks later though, he did contact me one last time, in an email. He acted like nothing happened, telling jokes and bragging about how great his life is and asking me “How did the move go?” I was tempted to tell him it went swimmingly because I’m now away from him, and I also thought about using this as an opening to sending him a final “f— you” message, but I didn’t. I just deleted the email without replying, and he hasn’t contacted me since. I have since unblocked him from facebook, and I see that nothing’s really changed in his life. I’m tempted to contact him, just to let him know that 3 years later, I still think he’s the worst human being I have ever met. He’s worse than Hitler. Worse than bin Laden. I’ve also thought about telling one of his parents how much I still hate him … probably his mom. Would this be appropriate? Or does this sound crazy? I’m nowhere near close to doing it, but I just feel like he totally destroyed my whole life, and probably doesn’t even know it/doesn’t care. I’ve since been doing A LOT better. I got a good job. I made some good friends that treat me with respect. And best of all, I have a boyfriend who I love more than anything in the world. But he doesn’t have to know that. I just want him to know how much I hate him. What do you guys think?
I wish he and his parents were suffering in Africa too. And his mom is a therapist too. Would you want someone who raised THAT to be giving you advice on how to conduct your life? Lol … And she was a total moron too … She called me “feminine” in front of a bunch of people at their Christmas party. Yeah, that’s a great way to endear yourself to me.

Best answer:

Answer by John B
The mature thing to do is just forget the fact that he exists, and move on with your life.

If you say anything about him then he’s only going to use that to get back at you again.

The way he, and his family, treated you when you were ill was disgusting, they are no better than the trash they accused you of being.
He’s out of your life now, so move on, ignoring him will hurt him a lot more than any insult, he feeds off your feelings of hatred, so you don’t want to give him anything to feel good about.

You say you now have friends that treat you with respect, and a boyfriend who you love, so just forget about him.
